More about Ardibidez
The Way of Saint James has been travelled by millions of pilgrims amoung the centuries, even before the Apostle’s tomb was discovered. Pilgrims had journed around the Road to Compostela and Finisterre just following the Milky Way.
Around the Saint James’ Way, while pilgrims were on journey, important information was expanded with knowledge comming from the whole European continent. New cities were founded as villages and hospitals as well.
The most important Ways of Saint James in Europe come altogether into the Basque Country: the Way comming from Scandinavia, the one coming from Germany, the Polish... all of them joint at a town named Izura and go together to Puentelarreina with the way coming from Leire. From Puentelarreina we will only find the main Way to Compostela.
Let’s travel together the whole length of the Way of Saint James. From Ospitalpea to Viana, following the Basque Way of Saint James. Playing each one of the players with his own motivation, moving forward or returning back. Legends, geography, Art, History... This Way of Saint James shows everythig to everybody.
